This book is brilliant…basically your external reality is made manifest by your inward thinking. If you think negatively, negative things will happen. If you think positively, positive things will happen. Your subconscious is the infinitely intelligent part of your mind, it keeps your heart and body functioning when you are asleep etc. Your mind has two parts, conscious and subconscious. The conscious part is action, and the subconscious part is reaction. If you consciously project thoughts of love, health and happiness to your subconscious, your subconscious will do everything in it’s infinite power to bring about the perfect experience that fulfills your deepest desire. It’s that simple. I’ve been doing it for two weeks and amazingly magical things have happened. All you need to do is believe in the power of your subconscious mind!

Ok, 2 things: 1) I have a policy of not reviewing a book until I’ve employed the techniques and seen the results. 2) I bought this book a long time ago and immediately stopped reading it because I felt uncomforatble with the reference to God in a self-help book. I picked up the book recently – while I was looking for ways to improve my personal presence and influence. I was always sceptical but I thoughT, “what have I got to loose?” I have to say that in the 3 weeks that I’ve been using this technique I’ve been astonded at some of the events that have happened in my life.

I used the simple technique of constant repetition as my solution to my problem. Everyday for 3 weeks. I assumed that the effects would be internal and only noticable by me, but I noticed people reacting to me differently – they seemed to be observing me more and even staring for periods of time while I was just walking down the street!! Trust me I immediately dismissed it and thought it was in my mind, but this was very different. Since that phenomenon (the only fitting word for it), I’ve decided to read the book in full and learn the techniques properly.

To be honest I’m a little scared. Since trying the techniques there were some odd side effects – which is testimony to using the techniques properly and with positive feeling. But if the simple technique that I employed has worked so well (and I didn’t even perform the techniques as well as I should have), I have no idea what the results will be when put into full effect.

To anyone looking for a REAL solution to changing their thinking, life and world internally and externally THIS IS THE BOOK!!

I have a library of books everything from Tony Buzan, Brian Tracy, Dan Kennedy, Napoleon Hill, Anthony Robbins, Maxwell Waltz and all the usual others…

…this is the only one I’ve written a review for…that should tell you something.

God bless Joseph Murphy’s soul into infinity. I would give this book 10 stars if that were
possible. I first read it years ago and it set me off on an incredible journey of self-discovery
and self-improvement. It is immensely therapeutic in cleaning cobwebs from the mind. I have
reread it twice since and also read about 5 other books by Murphy. I would recommend this as
the very best title in the entire field of self-improvement. A similar author whose work has also
helped me, is Frederick Bailes. Then move on to Louise L Hay, John Price, Stuart Wilde.

A healer recommended this book to me. I was in the depths of depression when I began to read it. I began to feel its power almost immediately. My mood was difficult to to change at first, but as I continued to read I began to feel better. I wanted to believe what was written, and at first was not sure of its truthfullness. I remember asking another healer if the book really were true, if one is truely able to impress his subconscious mind with his heart’s desires, and have those desires be manifested. He told me, “Yes!” So I have gone forth on faith, and truely my heart’s desires are beginning to be manifested. I am a changed person! My husband keeps telling me, “You really have changed!” My husband is now reading the book!
The book uses the term, “Universal Mind” sometimes to refer to God. AT first this bothered me. But now I see nothing wrong using this term when referring to God. In fact I found nothing in this book that contradicts anything that is written in the Holy Scriptures.
I am so grateful for the changes that has come into my life and into the lives of my family as a result of my having read this book and applying its teachings in my life. I highly recommend this book to all who are seeking to be truely happy.

I have had this book for 6 months and still can’t put it down. For the first time ever I think I understand the importance of self confidence and a “can do” attitude. It is so easy to read and you don’t have to be an expert to understand what is being said. I only gave it 4 stars because some of the ‘miracle’ stories are a bit hard to swallow. Other than that this book has changed my perspective on life and the way I think. Now whenever I say something negative I turn it into a postive. Even if you are happy in your life read this book and you could reach even higher heights!

I’ve been hunting for a book for ages to try and free up some time. A stressful job and studying via distance learning does not leave much spare time and can result in me becoming very stressed. The book details loads of tips to try and help life in general and has chapters on specifics such as anxiety, over/under eating, effective studying, alcohol etc. It is proving to be a must, you wonder how you coped beforehand. I would recommend this book to anyone prepared to spend a few minutes each day thinking about different ways of approaching situations to improve your life in general. It’s well worth the money and lends itself to be either read through completely or just dipped into chapters as necessary. A great deal better than lots of other self help books as it’s easy to apply and memorable.

This is a complete users manual for the brain. Thought is too linked to personality to make it easy for us to evaluate what we do and how we think.

The writers are objective and very methodical, taking the reader through common sense and less obvious steps. The chapters are well divided and enable reference back to specific areas of interest. For example, although interesting, the chapters on addiction were not relevant to me, while time manaement was; the sectioning of the book enables me to refer to Time Management as a topic.

There are lots of points here that may seem obvious but I don’t see that as a point of criticism. I would rather this than other points and methods of management were left out. We do tend to ignore the obvious sometimes anyway.

The book is unemotional, and not an inspiring, lifting book to change your life. This isn’t a criticism, but an observation. You can get that in other books. This is a mechanic’s manual.

Another good point is that this deals with a range of functions of the brain. For example, depression may be a reason for you reading the book, but such is the application, those of us not suffering from it can benefit from the knowledge of cognitive therapy. Further, topics range from illnesses such as depression to practical tips for normal healthy relationships and managing work committments and solving problems.

Many of us who already use our minds well don’t fully see how we do this. The book stands outside and objectively shows us how we do it and what else we can do. In that, it’s a winner.

This book offers practical approaches to helping a person solve his own problems. I read it through when I first purchased it (1996). Now I refer to it from time to time when I feel I need help with a particular matter. This book is easy to read, and it explains things in a professional manner for better understanding. The book offers practical techniques for solving many common and some difficult problems people experience. Teenagers can benefit reading this book because it addresses real problems which they are likely to face with real answers and stresses personal accountability for the answer to most of life’s problems. I recommend it highly to everyone. It’s a great book!

I can’t remember why my wife bought me this book now but after reading it I changed in so many ways (for the better) that I managed to free up extra time for the things that are important to me, get over my fear of flying but more importantly gave me the confidence to get a new job. I can’t rate this book enough for everyone – if you think it’s not for you then read it and make your decision afterwards!
